Class Description
Garlic Keeper Workshop — A 3-Session Summer Series Ready to level up your wheel skills? In this fast-paced, three-session summer workshop, you'll throw, trim, fit, and glaze a lidded garlic holder and matching garlic scraper — a functional, beautiful set that will actually earn its place in your kitchen. Session 1 — August 17 at 1pm (2–3 hours) Throw all your elements: the vessel, the lid, the garlic shape or other knob, and the scraper. You'll leave your work to get leather hard overnight. Session 2 — August 18 at 1pm (2–3 hours) THE NEXT DAY, return to trim, fit your lid, carve the ventilation holes, and add any sculpted detail you want to bring in. This is where the piece comes alive. Session 3 — August 25 at 1pm (90 minutes) A WEEK LATER, glazing day. Choose your palette, apply your finish, and hand off your work to the kiln. Simple, satisfying, done. This workshop is designed for potters who are already comfortable centring and throwing on the wheel and are ready for the next challenge — learning to fit a lid, work with negative space, and bring a little more intention to functional form. Spots are limited. Come ready to work fast and have fun. We are a scent-free environment. No makeup classes for this brief workshop. Full refund if class doesn't fill.
