Class Description
Make a keepsake nativity scene you'll bring out every Christmas, with Mandy D'Angelo of @mandydangeloart. In Part 1 on Sunday, November 15, you'll learn how to hand-build your set, using her signature methods. Make a curved backdrop with a cut-out star and pierced night sky, or whatever you want, plus a Mary, Joseph, and baby in the manger, plus an angel and a little lamb. (NOTE: Could also be non-religious! Maybe your Nativity scene is the Beatles over a record player? Or members of your own family hovering over your beloved cat...) No wheel or experience needed. After your pieces are fired, return Sunday, November 29 for Part 2 to paint the details. Add inspired patterns, flowers, dots and colour to make the scene your own. We'll glaze and fire everything one last time, and your finished nativity will be ready to take home in time for the holidays. Spots are limited, so register early.

Cancellation Policy
Studio Policies Students are not permitted to load, unload, or operate pottery kilns. Keep hair tied back for safety. Avoid wearing loose articles of clothing or jewelry that could pose hazards. Closed-toe and closed-heel footwear must be worn in the pottery studio. Do not operate any equipment without the presence of an instructor. We are a scent-free environment. All completed work must be collected from Ford City Potters within 6 weeks after the final class, once you're notified by email. Work will not be stored after 6 weeks. Students are expected to arrive on time for each class to ensure the smooth running of the session. Late arrivals cannot make up for lost time. For whatever reason, if Ford City Potters must cancel a session or class, students will be notified via email, and a full refund will be issued. Classes must be paid in full upon registering on the website (credit card or PayPal accepted). Classes are non-refundable. Makeup days are possible only for glazing days, and only if a space is open in another class. Students are expected to maintain a respectful and inclusive environment in the classroom, treating the instructor and fellow participants with courtesy and consideration. Zero tolerance for disruptive or disrespectful behaviour. In other words, be kind at all times.
